Michael Rohrbaugh is driven by two equally strong needs: to create meaningful work and connect deeply with others. For a long time, those two felt incompatible— even in Los Angeles, he often felt like he had to choose. Now, amongst the rolling hills of Pennsylvania, he is building a life where film and friendship can coexist.

Throughout his twenty year-plus career, Rohrbaugh has worked as a screenwriter, director, producer, editor, and professor. Within these roles, he created a host of long and short-form content, including feature docs, television pilots, short films, concept trailers, commercials, and promos. His award-winning short film, ‘American Male,’ was produced by MTV Networks and named by Vimeo as a ‘Staff Pick of the Month.’ His ‘Evolve the Definition’ campaign for the retail brand Bonobos won a Silver Clio Award and received over 11 million views.

Rohrbaugh’s clients include SundanceNow, Bravo, SONY, Disney, MTV Networks, and The Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN). His work has been featured in outlets, including National Public Radio, Indiewire, Forbes Magazine, USA Today, and The Advocate.

Rohrbaugh received his Bachelor of Arts from Yale University and his Master of Fine Arts from The UCLA School of Theater, Film, and Television. He currently serves as an Assistant Professor on tenure track at York College of Pennsylvania, where he runs the Film Production program. He is now prepping the first installment of his sci-fi feature trilogy, ‘Brain Rot OS 1,’ which explores tech addiction and artificial intelligence. When he’s not working, he enjoys playing chess, traveling, and hanging with his wheaten terrier-poodle, Bear.

David Frankel

David Frankel is an Academy Award–nominated director and Emmy Award–winning producer whose work spans acclaimed television and globally successful feature films. He is widely recognized for directing The Devil Wears Prada 1 & 2, the cultural phenomenon starring Meryl Streep and Anne Hathaway, as well as his work on HBO’s Sex & the City.

Frankel’s films have collectively grossed hundreds of millions of dollars worldwide, demonstrating his ability to balance commercial appeal with character-driven storytelling. Earlier in his career, Frankel directed multiple episodes of the HBO miniseries Band of Brothers, contributing to the project’s Emmy-winning legacy. He also directed the pilot episode of Entourage, helping launch one of HBO’s most recognizable original series.

As official advisor on Brain Rot OS 1, he brings decades of experience in packaging, development, and studio-level production strategy.
